Cellnex – Ireland install LIGMAN Evolve pole for 5G densification in Dublin.
With the increased demand for capacity and coverage comes the need for street level locations for small cell sites.
For the city of Dublin the challenge is to provide locations for mobile network operators (MNO’s) where they can install solutions which are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
The LIGMAN Evolve solution was selected by Cellnex to provide a location in King Street South – Dublin for Vodafone – Ireland to install a 5G standalone network.
The 9 metre pole with extended podium was installed to provide the perfect location for the installation of 3 x 5G (3.6GHz) Remote Radio Heads (RRH’s) along with a omni-directional Alpha Wireless cannister antenna mounted on a fully adjustable rotatable mount to ensure precision aiming
The Extended podium has been designed with separate compartments for the MNO’s and the local electricity company – ESB. Both have a locked enclosure and neither has access to the others enclosure.
